I will be 19 this year and I finished highschool last summer. Grad of 2005! I am accepted to Providence college in Manitoba and will be heading there this fall with my brother, David, who will have finished his first year there this spring. I am entering a program called Communications and Media but only plan to stay there a year. Next fall (2007) I plan to head out to either Winnipeg or Hamilton. Depends how things work out i suppose. I love photography and am learning a lot of new ideas and tricks about image editing and "capturing the image". I understand that photorgraphy runs in the Hall family veins so I am following in family footsteps i suppose. I always have a million projects on the go. Right now I am leading, with two other girls, a youth group for girls in our area in grades 6-8. We called it Fixed Eyes (ya, i stole that from Rachel) I also enjoy scrapbooking a lot. I think that goes with my graphic designing. One of my other projects is my 1983 Camaro Z28 which my dad is helping me fix up...or i am helping my dad. one or the other. I am having a lot of fun and can't wait until it is all done so i can drive it this summer. Other than my fun time-fillers, i also work full time for my dad at his shop, part time waitressing at the Circle D and I clean my church once a week. That's basically me in a paragraph (a long pararaph).

My parents leave for Cancun today...well they left already... So, i'm the boss here at work and at home. Means i get a lot of responsiblity...see how i do... he he
We are half staffed at work for full time workers. we normally have six and all week we are gonna have three!!! we lost both our sales and one mechanic for this week. crazy!
My car is almost done...but i have to wait until my parents are back from cancun before i can drive it....only about one and a half more weeks!!!
Just went to the last youth group last week...except for the windup....i guess the reason this is important enough to blog about is because it's the last youth group i will go to like as a regular attender...next year after college is done i may go here and there....but only for a little while...I'm pretty sad. this year all my friends, pretty much, had gone to college..so it was a good year for me to make some new friends and get to know some others better.
I made this for my mom for mother's day. i took these photos and edited them a bit and then put a verse on them. They went into a nice black three photo 4x6 frame in our dining room. my mom loved them.

I was having trouble uploading the third one so it's right HERE
Pretty cool eh? It was a cool gift to give because it was all my own personal touch on it. Fun stuff.
Yesturday i was excited because i was gonna be early for church. Got to the train crossing and there was a trian stopped. I knew the people in front of me and they said they had been there for about five minutes already. They had two of their grand daughters with them so i played outside with them for twenty minutes and picked some flowers.....did you catch that? 20 MINUTES! We waited 20 minutes for that train to get moving. so as you may guess i was late..but hey, i got there about the same time i always do. :) oh well. some day i'll be on time or maybe even early *shocked gasp* ya right.

know what i realized? There are so many people who seem so strong. Even as strong Christians. Yet when you see even a small part of what is in their heart they often have struggles and pains so deep that you never would have thought. Maybe you stumble across somebodies blog where they opened up a bit or just getting to know people better. just a few things i learned from this
- Some people are scared to make the first step into friendship and need somebody else to say hi. doesn't mean they will be your best friend and tell you everything about themselves and vise versa..but people need friends and others to be nice to them
- Encourage those who don't seem to need encouragement because they are probably hurting inside. i have seen this so many times. somebody seems on top of everything and like they have all this mess around them mastered becasue they trust in God to take care of them....yet....they feel alone, or they have a sin deep, deep down only God knows about, or they just wish they had somebody to relate to. however they are too scared to show that side of them to anyone.
- Encourage other Christians who are pressing on because they need as much encouragement to keep going as those who can't seem to get it started
- Those who seem to be having so much fun in life and have tons of friends are often struggling with purpose and the place they fit into everything. Pray for them and find ways you can encourage them in those areas (that's a toughie)
- And the one we have always been told: the person sitting in the corner by themselves really does need a friend too. maybe they have been hurt too much to want to reach out anymore...maybe they never learned how to be a friend...help them out with that by showing them how you can be a friend to them and others.
just a few thoughts to ponder...sure got me pondering..
i think we could all take a lesson in encouraging others more. we all feel we need more encouragement too, but maybe you need to make the first step.

fireworks, safety pins and cheese cake
Youth group was at my house on thursday. we played three steps around the house. one of the guys got bit by my dog. I felt bad but we were running around by my dog and she got excited, not mad.
then friday we had our monthly GIFT service and i played bass to fill in for a guy. it was pretty good. the speaker spoke about eating "garbage" when there is a beautiful meal offered by God. it was an interesting message. The music went fairly well. I could people experiencing God and that was pretty amazing.
then saturday we had a bonfire at my house. at 3:30 i started hauling and piling wood that dad had cut. Aaron and Dan showed up to help which was super cool cuz the logs were huge! It was pretty muddy because we have had nothing but rain lately so we layed down pine branches and some ply wood to walk on. everyone showed up at 8 or so and zack was told to come at 9. so i was teh lookout adn when i saw him i ran down the hill and we waited for them. when he walked down we held up a banner that said "happy bithday zack" and we sang. it was great. he was mostly surprised he said.
i finally got to shove cake in somebodies face. this one guy comes up to me and was like "did you try the cheese cake?" me: "no, but i hear it's amazing" Aaron: "ya but did you smell it?" the guy smelt it and i shoved the plate into his face. HAHA. so he dropped his plate and just kinda looked at me surprised. then he bent down adn scooped up a handful of cake off the ground, i thought so nobody would step in it. but no, he had other plans. he shoved it in my face. YUCK! oh well. it was worth it.
another crazy thing. one of my friends, who is kinda crazy told our youth leader, who is also crazy that if he peirced something, she would dye her hair blue. so i'm on the other side of the fire and i hear clem say "anyone have a safety pin" me: "oh i do" so i ran over and gave it to him. little later on, he has it stuck through his ear. said it didnt hurt. so now my safety pin was stuck in his ear and my friend has to dye her hair blue. crazy
it was the absolute perfect night for a bonfire down by the river. i asked some of the guys to pick up some fireworks for us. that was so much fun. we had the roman candle ones mostly. we threw soem balloons out into the river and shot at them with the roman candles. i got two out of three of mine. of if you shoot it at the water it'll skip a few times. it was great. nobody got hurt, so that's good although clem got shot at (he asked for it though)...and this one..you throw it and it sparkles while it falls then keeps shooting out little sparks for a bit. so they threw it from up the hill into the water and when it landed it floated so it was skipping along the water, shooting out sparks that was really cool. then one just like that got thrown onto land but it hit a tree and slid down the tree sparking..it was really neat. so, i had tons of fun. it was a great night for a fire.

I need help with photobucket.
I upload my photo fine and it's there. then i click on teh ones i want and do, generate HTML. so then it tells me to paste that in which i do...but then it just ends up like this:
<center> <a href="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i239/kath_goodman/100_3278.jpg" target="_blank"> <img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i239/kath_goodman/th_100_3278.jpg"></a>
just the link, no thumbnail to click on ...so. i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong...does anyone know how to help me?
then if i add it with photobuck through the add image button when i resize it, there is no wayt to keep porportions constraint. hm. i suppose i could do that anyways..and just resize them before i ad them. is there an easier way?

so, i posted an entry about a week or so ago and i guess it never worked...dont remember what i wrote in it. I was so excited to have a weekend off (i finally quit at the circle d) there was a soccer game in fort from my old highschool and i was excited to go to that. there was a whole bunch of us going. and i was going to "hang out" with noelle. Oh, it was so cute. I was at noelle's on thursday and she was sad taht i was only staying for a few minutes. so i asked her if she wanted to hang out on saturday a bit. melanie was like, noelle do you know what "hang out" means? noelle kinda giggled and was like yaaaaa....? Mel was like, well it means to spend time together. would you like that? so we went to the park on saturday and got icecream and ate it on the dock by the waterfront where we threw rocks and sand into the water. she's such a mature girl for five years old. she was talking to me about people who throw thing on the ground and how it dirties God's creation so sometimes we have to pick up after others who forget. and then sunday i went to the cabin with my family and brought Aaron too. so that was really fun. aaron adn my dad flew up there and it was really windy.
so, that is why i was sooo excited about having time off. but..... i got the stomach flu...i didn't get really sick until monday though...so i made it to the game and the cabin and noelle and i had fun. but i missed work on monday cuz i was sick. this weekend is gonna be party at goodman's time. youth group tonight is at my house and then tomorrow we have GIFT (growing in faith together) which i am playing at. their bass player is gone so i am filling in. i'm pretty excited....after GIFT people might come over. then saturday there is a bonfire at my house. I'm excited. should be a really fun weekend. starting in about four hours! Sweet.
well this essay should come to a close now because coffee break is over and you've probably wasted enough time reading this.
and, krista, did you get an email from me a little while ago?
alrighty, peace to you all and i promise to be in touch again soon :)
